FIRS to Shut Down IT Systems for 3 Days — What Nigerians Should Expect
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) will shut down its IT systems for three days to carry out major maintenance and upgrade its digital platforms.
During the downtime, key services such as TaxPro-Max, e-filing, payments, and verification will be unavailable. FIRS says the upgrade will improve system speed, strengthen security, and enhance the overall taxpayer experience.
Taxpayers are advised to complete urgent filings before the shutdown, as online operations will resume immediately after the maintenance window.
FIRS assured Nigerians that the upgrade is part of its push to modernize tax administration and deliver smoother, more reliable digital services.
