Just when we were thrilled about the movie ‘Behind The Scenes’ grossed N1 billion late December within 19 days of its release, this feat has galloped to

 

N2,103,039,706bn (two billion Naira) and has the record of highest grossing of all time for Nollywood title of all time in the UK, Ireland.

The movie by the pace setting actress and producer who seemed to have a grasp of story telling, Funke Akindele is the highest grossing Nollywood title of all time in African.

 

Behind The Scene is also now the first in West Africa’s History to cross the Billion mark at the Box Office.

Movie analyst, Isaac Daniel commended the actress and prolific producer and now a director for continuing to break the records even with limited standard cinemas in Nigeria and Africa.

 

”This feat shows that film making is a gold mine in Nigeria and the business of film making should be taken seriously and can create more jobs for the teeming youth. I want to admonish the policy makers and stakeholders of the film industry to look at how to sustain the progress and optimize the industry and by far the creative economy,” says Daniel.

Sterlinh Film makers like Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, Ayo Makun continue to set the pace and encourage others throwing the search light on impact of movie on the society.

Produced and directed by Funke Akindele, she has become the first producer and director of the highest grossing movie of all time.

The movie still screening at the cinemas in Nigeria, UK, Africa and Ireland is about Aderonke “Ronky-Fella” Faniran, a mother of two and successful real estate mogul, is loved for her generosity. But as everyone around her grows to expect her kindness, she gives until there’s nothing left, neglecting herself in the process.
